LA BIOCHORISTA – 20h00 at LA BIOMISTA - Genk
“LA BIOCHORISTA” a unique symbiosis between La BIOMISTA, nature & heavenly choral sounds.
During a fairytale evening walk in the twilight of this beautiful park, the public is surprised by the heavenly sounds of 6 international top choirs.
Moreover, this concert gives the listener the unique opportunity to discover LABIOMISTA at dusk.

With The King's Singers on the concert stage? WHICH CAN !
17:15pm: Workshop with The King's Singers
The members of The King’s Singers will rehearse two or three songs with a special choir. Together with The King’s Singers, these singers will perform the songs at the end of the concert. Places are limited, so be sure to sign up quickly!

10.30 am - 12.30 pm: "Rainbow Choir" workshop:

There’s nothing more fun than learning or improving your Flemish through cool, simple Flemish songs. Together with RIMO and the Regenboogkoor, we’ll be running a programme from March 2024, culminating in a fun final session during the festival. There’s nothing more fun than singing together – you’ll soon see. And if you fancy a little dance, that’s certainly an option too.
Participation is FREE. Please register in advance.
10:00 - 12:00: Workshop with Jonas Rasmussen

Jonas Rasmussen is undoubtedly a rising star on the international choral scene. From playful warm-ups and rehearsal games to in-depth insights into the repertoire, tips for singers and conductors, and a glimpse behind the scenes: he makes choral music accessible, exciting and relevant to everyone. He always has two things in mind: celebrating the beauty of the human voice and encouraging others to join in that celebration. Highly recommended for any choir singer or conductor wishing to discover the surprising approach of this leading Danish conductor.
This workshop takes place at the Barenzaal.
10h00 - 12h00: Workshop with Maria Guinand

Step into the world of South American choral music, brimming with lively rhythms and warm, colourful timbres. The melodies dance to syncopated and swaying rhythmic patterns, whilst the harmonies feel both earthy and heavenly.
Let yourself be guided by Marie Guinand (Venezuela), an internationally renowned conductor and inspiring teacher who will take you on a journey through Caribbean and Latin American rhythms, singing and moving along the way. Expect infectious grooves, compelling polyphony and percussive vocal techniques that will immediately bring out the sparkle in you as a choir singer.
