Male Voices of the Boys Choir Lucerne
Switzerland

The “Male voices of the Boys Choir Lucerne”, Switzerland is a vocal ensemble that evolved out of the junior members of the “Boys Choir”. All singers (age 15-25) originate from Lucerne (Switzerland) and its surrounding region. Their main objective is to present a wide variety of music styles at the highest level while retaining the enjoyment and the playful approach to music. Their vocal training includes individual voice coaching. The ensemble regularly and successfully participates in competitions, winning a number of prizes nationally (1st prize Swiss Choir Competition in 2024) and internationally (e.g. Neerpelt, Montreux, Provence) over the years. The most memorable event in 2023 was the invitation to perform at the European Festival of Youth Choirs in Basel (EJCF) and 2 Gold Medals at “European Choir Games” in Norköpping, Sweden. Their skillful and highly creative presentations have often been composed and arranged specifically for this ensemble. The “Male voices of the Boys Choir Lucerne” are conducted by Andreas Wiedmer.
