The Waelrant Youth Choir is a dynamic and welcoming youth choir open to anyone willing to fully commit. The strong friendships and open atmosphere within the group translate onto the stage as a homogeneous sound and deeply passionate, expressive performances. Their repertoire is broad and adventurous, spanning from the Renaissance to contemporary music, and from classical to folk and pop.

• Global Top 20: Currently ranked 13th on the Interkultur world ranking list.

• International Awards:

  • 2025: Overall winner at Vox Lucensis (Lucca, Italy), sweeping the awards for Musica Sacra, Mixed Youth Choirs, and the Grand Prix.

  • 2024: First Prize Summa cum Laude (98%) at the European Music Festival for Young People (EMJ) in Neerpelt.

  • 2023: European Champions at the European Choir Games (Norrköping, Sweden) and guest choir at the highly acclaimed EFJC in Basel, Switzerland.
